Waymo began offering driverless rides to and from Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026. Pickups and dropoffs are at dedicated autonomous-vehicle zones on the Ground Zero Level of Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, the company said.

Who can ride

  • Current riders first: existing Waymo riders in Las Vegas get airport access now; Waymo says it will "gradually welcome more riders over time before opening to everyone."
  • Service area: riders can travel anywhere in Waymo's current 24-square-mile Las Vegas area. Public rides in the city only began in September, TechCrunch notes.
  • Sixth major airport: Waymo already serves Phoenix Sky Harbor, Nashville, San Antonio, San Francisco and San José airports, according to TechCrunch.

"We're excited to welcome Waymo's autonomous fleet to our airport," said James C. Chrisley, Clark County director of aviation.

What it means for Tesla

Las Vegas is becoming crowded with robotaxis. Amazon's Zoox already serves the airport, and in August Nevada regulators approved permits that will let Tesla and Uber put thousands of robotaxis on the city's streets over the next year, TechCrunch reports. Waymo's European plans are in our Waymo Madrid story.
