The Fiat Topolino can now be driven on some US public roads. When it first went on sale in the US in July, it could only be used on private property, electrive notes. The 2027 model is a street-legal low-speed vehicle (LSV). According to electrive, it can be driven on public roads with speed limits up to 35 mph, subject to state and local rules.

What's new for 2027

  • A new Topolino Open Air body style, which adds a soft-top rollback roof to the two-door model.
  • Two new colours, Corallo Orange and Luna Greige.
  • A new full-colour digital instrument cluster.
  • Prices from $13,995 before the destination fee. electrive says all three versions (Topolino, Dolce Vita and Open Air) share that starting price.

Existing owners

Fiat says current owners can get a complimentary LSV conversion kit to make their Topolino street-legal. Later shipments of the 2027 model will reach dealers already street-legal. Fiat says many dealers sold out of their first 2026 allocations. Complimentary home delivery within 50 miles of the selling dealer continues.

«For 2027, we are building on that momentum with new colors, a new open-air body style and low-speed vehicle (LSV) street-legal capability,» said Andrew Waterhouse, who leads Fiat in North America. Fiat calls the Topolino Stellantis' first entry into US micromobility.
