Ultraviolette is taking its new crossover electric motorcycle to Europe. The Bengaluru company launched the X-47 Venom at EICMA 2026 in Milan. Autocar Professional says this makes Ultraviolette the first Indian manufacturer to retail electric motorcycles in the European market.

Price and timing

According to motorcycles.news, the X-47 Venom costs €8,450 (about $9,480) at its introductory price, and the first bikes are due to be delivered in early 2027. It can be ridden on an A1 licence. In India, the Venom launched on Oct. 22 from 2.65 lakh rupees, a price that applies only to the first 5,000 customers. The outlet cautions that the two prices are not directly comparable because India gets four variants with different batteries.

Specs

  • Platform: the bike is the first model on Ultraviolette's VX-100 powertrain architecture, which motorcycles.news describes as a 100-volt platform. Autocar Professional says it also uses the company's SRB-11 battery technology.

Tesseract scooter too

Ultraviolette also showed the European version of its Tesseract electric maxi-scooter, which has a 6 kWh battery and 15 kW of peak power. Autocar Professional notes that its Indian launch has been delayed until January 2027. motorcycles.news says no European price has been announced.

«As we expand our global presence, Ultraviolette is at the forefront of taking Indian engineering, design and innovation to the world,» co-founder and CEO Narayan Subramaniam said, as quoted by Autocar Professional.
