The AI buildout just gave AMD its biggest quarter ever. Third-quarter revenue rose 45% to a record $13.4 billion, and data center revenue climbed 97% to a record $8.5 billion on EPYC processors and the launch of Instinct MI450 Series GPUs, AMD said. Adjusted earnings were $2.09 a share.

That beat LSEG estimates of $1.95 a share on $13.09 billion in revenue, CNBC reports. Shares rose 8% after hours before paring gains as election results came in.

Data center now makes up 64% of AMD's revenue, up from 47% a year earlier. CRN reports Su said cloud and enterprise server sales both more than doubled, with AI agents a big driver of EPYC demand in the cloud.

«We expect growth to accelerate further in the fourth quarter as we scale Helios and 'Venice' production,» Su said. On the call she said she expects server revenue to double year over year in 2027, CNBC reports.
