Electrify America has opened its largest charging station yet in Orlando, Florida, with 24 DC fast chargers that can each deliver up to 350 kW. The site is at the Sand Lake Corners South shopping center on South John Young Parkway, within reach of Interstate 4, Orlando International Airport, Walt Disney World and Universal Studios, Electrek reported on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026.

Bring your adapter

All 24 stalls have CCS connectors only, Electrek and InsideEVs report. That means Tesla drivers, and owners of other EVs with the NACS port, need a CCS adapter to charge there. Electrek says Electrify America is piloting NACS connectors at selected stations, including a separate site at the Florida Mall in Orlando, and drivers can check connector availability in the Electrify America app.

Why Orlando

Florida had about 450,400 registered battery-electric vehicles in 2025, second only to California, Electrek says, citing the U.S. Department of Energy's Alternative Fuels Data Center. Electrify America says it now runs more than 350 chargers at over 60 stations in Florida. Another 10-charger Orlando site at 10226 Curry Ford Road is expected in the coming months, with no opening date announced.

"Florida's EV community is growing fast, and we're excited to keep growing with it," Anthony Lambkin, Electrify America's vice president of operations, said, according to InsideEVs.

What it means for Tesla

The CCS-only layout reflects the connector split Tesla's NACS plug created: InsideEVs notes that every Tesla sold in the U.S. has a NACS port, and more automakers are moving to it after Tesla opened its Supercharger network to other brands.
