Grok 4.7 is now available on Amazon Bedrock in AWS GovCloud (US), Amazon Web Services announced Monday, Oct. 19. GovCloud is AWS's isolated cloud region for U.S. government agencies and companies with regulated workloads.

Why it matters: It puts Musk's frontier model inside one of the main cloud channels government customers use to buy AI.

What AWS says it does

  • Built for coding, agentic tasks and knowledge work.
  • Compared with Grok 4.6: better mixed-document handling, more dependable repo-scale coding with planning and error recovery, and better browser-use agents for form fills and portal navigation.
  • Available in the Bedrock console and through Bedrock APIs. AWS did not list GovCloud pricing in the announcement.

The model

On the xAI API, where it launched in September, grok-4.7 has a 500k context window and costs $2 / $0.50 / $6 per 1M tokens (input / cached input / output) below 200k prompt tokens, and $4 / $1 / $12 above, according to xAI's release notes.
