Kia America sold 80,008 vehicles in October, its best October ever and 16% above the previous October record. Retail sales were 68,926, up 20%. It was Kia's sixth record month in a row.
Electrified models
Kia says electrified and hybrid sales rose 112% and 114%, both category records. Among individual models, the EV9 rose 111%, the Telluride 63% and the EV6 58%.
The year-to-date picture is mixed. Electrek says EV9 sales are up 5% at 13,835 units through October, while the EV6 is still down 39% at 7,067.
The EV3
The 2027 EV3 is now in showrooms nationwide. Electrek says it starts at $29,890 for the EV3 Light with a 58.3 kWh battery and up to 221 miles of range. Other trims use an 81.4 kWh pack with up to 321 miles. All versions have a native NACS port for Tesla Superchargers. Kia sold 1,496 EV3s in its first two months on sale.
«With six consecutive months of record-breaking sales, Kia is accelerating toward a fourth straight annual sales record,» said Eric Watson, Kia America's vice president of sales operations.
