LiveWire Group says conditions raise "substantial doubt" about its ability to continue as a going concern within a year. It cites recurring operating losses, negative operating cash flow, limited liquidity, and future funding needs. Electrek reports the stock fell more than 40% on Thursday morning.

Q3 numbers

  • Revenue rose 38% to $7.9 million.
  • Net loss was $18.6 million, versus $19.4 million a year ago.
  • Electric motorcycle units rose 31% to 241. STACYC kids' balance bike and e-bike units rose 20% to 6,992.
  • Cash fell to $39.9 million at Sept. 30, from $82.8 million at the end of 2025.

Restructuring

On Oct. 22, LiveWire's board formed a Special Restructuring Committee. It can evaluate financing, a sale, a restructuring, a recapitalization or other deals, and the company notes a debt maturity in December 2027. The committee appointed Roy Gallagher as chief restructuring officer and principal executive officer. LiveWire withdrew its 2026 guidance for an operating loss of $70 million to $80 million.

New, cheaper bikes

The warning comes as LiveWire rolls out its S4 Honcho line. The first S4 Honcho Trail units reached the US in August, and S4 Honcho Street units reached dealers in October. Electrek says the line starts below $5,000 and that LiveWire will show new models at EICMA in Milan next week.
