Tesla's robotaxi is on show in Shanghai. A production Cybercab is on display at the China International Import Expo (CIIE), which runs from November 5 to 10, in Tesla's area in the Hall 3H technology and equipment zone, Drive Tesla Canada reports. Last year's CIIE featured a show car.
The stand also includes the Model Y Performance, the latest golden Optimus humanoid robot, Megablock and Megapack information, and a look at production at Giga Shanghai. Before the expo, the Cybercab was displayed at Shanghai's Oriental Pearl Tower from October 29 to November 1. A separate Cybercab tour of Europe begins November 5.
Bitauto reports that Tesla's display materials say the Cybercab began operating in Austin on September 3 and that more than 300 vehicles entered service within 30 days (translated from Chinese). Tesla also says its Robotaxi fleet had driven about 5 million kilometers without a safety monitor on board as of October 18, and that Giga Shanghai's parts localization rate has reached 98%.
