Xpeng has delivered its first Mona L03 in Europe. Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng personally handed the keys to a French customer in Paris on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, the company said in a Weibo announcement on Oct. 20, CnEVPost reported. Electrive says the handover took place ahead of the Paris Motor Show, where He gave a keynote.

What the L03 offers in Europe

The L03 had its global launch in Munich on July 16, Xpeng's first model to launch in China and Europe at the same time, and the company said it plans to sell it in 64 overseas markets. In Europe it comes as a battery-electric model or with a range extender. Electrive reports the BEV version offers 445 to 520 km of range depending on battery, charges from 20 to 80 percent in about 20 minutes, and starts at €35,600 in Germany. In China the L03 starts at 123,800 yuan.

It is Xpeng's first export model built on the Google Maps Auto SDK, so navigation, live traffic and charging route planning run natively without a phone. Entry trims include automatic parking and assisted lane changes. Xpeng said the first French buyer cited the driver-assistance features as the reason for choosing the car, though it did not say which variant he bought or which features are available locally.

Why it matters

The L03 is central to Xpeng's push into overseas mass markets. Xpeng's overseas sales topped 10,000 vehicles for the first time in September, and the company has set a target of 1 million annual global sales by 2030, half from Europe, according to CnEVPost. Electrive notes the brand is pressing ahead despite EU tariffs on China-built EVs and sometimes sluggish sales. Xpeng did not disclose French order numbers.

What it means for Tesla

The L03 is a mid-size electric SUV in the same class as the Model Y, and Xpeng is selling it on driver assistance, the same pitch Tesla makes with FSD (Supervised) in Europe. See our story on Slovakia approving FSD (Supervised).
