Every 2027 Ford Mustang Mach-E now gets the big battery. Ford opened U.S. dealer order books on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026 for the refreshed electric crossover, which drops the smaller standard-range pack. Select and Premium trims now come only with an 88 kWh battery, while GT and Rally keep a 91 kWh pack, Motor1, InsideEVs and Car and Driver reported. The base Select RWD starts at $42,040 including the $2,045 destination fee.
2027 Mach-E prices (with destination)
- Select RWD: $42,040
- Premium RWD: $45,040
- Select eAWD: $45,050
- Trail eAWD: $47,335
- Premium eAWD: $48,040
- GT eAWD: $53,040
- Rally eAWD: $57,335
Ford has not yet published EPA range estimates for the 2027 models and says they will come closer to the on-sale date, according to Motor1. For reference, InsideEVs noted that on the 2026 model the extended-range battery was rated at 320 miles with rear-wheel drive and 300 miles with all-wheel drive.
What the Trail package adds
The $2,295 Trail package is available only on the Select eAWD. It raises ride height by 10 mm at the front and 15 mm at the rear, uses specially tuned struts and springs and the Rally's steering rack, and rides on 19-inch wheels with Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires. It also includes Ford's 400-watt Pro Power Onboard outlets in the cargo area and rear console as standard. Trail buyers must choose BlueCruise hardware when they order, because it can't be added later, Motor1 reported. First Trail models are expected to ship in the first quarter of 2027, InsideEVs said.
A cheaper front motor
All-wheel-drive models get a new secondary front drive unit that Ford says matches the old one's output but costs less to build, which helps offset the larger standard battery, both outlets reported. BlueCruise 1.5 hands-free highway driving is standard on GT and Rally and optional on Select and Premium.
The update lands the same week GM showed off its fourth-generation EV platform, and as Ford plans an EV battery pack plant in Spain.
