France's truck corridors are getting more high-power chargers. ABB E-mobility and French charge point operator Oreve are expanding their partnership with 12 new sites and around 100 charging points, planned to provide about 18 MW of installed capacity once fully deployed by the end of 2028.
The two companies have worked together for three years and already operate six sites, including Bourg-de-Péage, Vénissieux and Pardies. New sites start with ABB's A400 chargers, which share 400 kW across two points; from early 2027 they add the modular M-Series, which can scale a site up to a 1.2 MW hub. The first MCS-capable installation is planned for 2027.
electrive notes that France's national plan foresees around 8,000 truck charging points at some 560 motorway areas by 2035.
