BYD is bundling charging into the sale in Spain. With energy company Iberdrola, BYD now offers buyers of its electric and plug-in hybrid models a package under the «Plan Recarga Inteligente» name, electrive reports.
According to KilometroReal, the wallbox is free if installation is arranged through Iberdrola, and installation costs half the standard price. Customers who take the Plan Recarga Inteligente tariff get a bill discount equivalent to 10,000 km a year for three years. For public charging, there are six months at 50% off each charge, then a free year of Plan Recarga +, worth a further 20% discount. Iberdrola says it has more than 12,000 operating points (translated from Spanish).
