Nvidia's open models are moving into enterprise file storage. At BoxWorks 2026 in San Francisco on November 5, Box announced Box Context Retrieval, a retrieval engine powered by Nvidia Nemotron models. Box is also adding the Nemotron family of open-weight models to Box AI and running agents inside Nvidia's OpenShell secure runtime, the company said.

Kari Briski, Nvidia's VP of generative AI software, told TechCrunch she expects queries to come back four times faster, with 20% fewer errors and 90% fewer tokens used. Rather than have an agent read every document, Box sends back only the most relevant chunks, CEO Aaron Levie said. TechCrunch reports that the feature will reach Box's Enterprise Advanced customers early next year.

«AI agents need more than intelligence. They need the knowledge and context of the business to do useful work,» Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said in Box's announcement.
