Ford's electric lineup has shrunk to almost nothing in U.S. showrooms. The automaker sold 1,355 EVs in October, down 71.2% from 4,709 a year earlier, according to its monthly figures. The Mustang Mach-E accounted for 1,239 of them, down 57.4%, and the E-Transit van for 116. The F-150 Lightning, which Ford has stopped building, recorded no sales.

EVs made up 0.8% of Ford's 174,123 U.S. sales, down from 2.7%. Hybrid sales also fell 21% to 13,818 as Ford wound down the Escape and Lincoln Corsair. Total electrified sales fell 31.7% to 15,173.

Ford's overall sales slipped only 0.8%. RTTNews reports F-Series sales rose 8.2% to 73,482 and Explorer sales jumped 35.2% to 23,885. The year-earlier comparison was already weak: October 2025 was the first month after the federal EV tax credit expired.
