Grok Bot can now call businesses for you. The official Grok Bot account announced phone calls on Wednesday with a short demo, TeslaNorth reports. Musk first announced the capability on October 25, Teslarati notes, when it only appeared in preview builds.
In the demo, the bot spots an internet contract renewing in three days, shows a «Phone call» card the user must approve, then turns down a 10%-off retention offer and confirms the cancellation. A live transcript runs during the call, with Take over and End call buttons.
Teslarati describes creator Peter Yang's longer test: his bot called Comcast, navigated the phone menu, turned down three upsells and used a cheaper competing fiber offer to cut his bill from $84 to $45 a month. The bot paused for his approval before accepting the final terms.
The feature is rolling out gradually to U.S. accounts calling U.S. numbers.
