Skoda has opened German orders for the Epiq Easy 35, the cheapest version of its small electric SUV, at €25,900. In a press release dated Oct. 30, Skoda Germany also opened orders for the top Sportline versions.

The entry car

  • 85 kW (115 hp) electric motor with front-wheel drive.
  • 38.5 kWh battery. Mein-Elektroauto.com says it is an LFP pack with 37 kWh usable.
  • Up to 325 km of WLTP range and 13.7 kWh/100 km combined consumption, according to Skoda.
  • Up to 11 kW AC. Mein-Elektroauto.com reports DC charging is capped at 50 kW, with about 33 minutes for 10–80% in the configurator. The Epiq 40 takes 23 minutes and has a 99 kW motor.

Mein-Elektroauto.com says the €25,900 includes 19% VAT, but not delivery or registration. The Easy 35 is €2,000 cheaper than the Epiq 40, and the outlet notes the press release gives no firm delivery date. Standard kit it lists includes LED headlights, automatic climate control, adaptive cruise control and a 13-inch infotainment screen.

Sportline at the top

Skoda says Sportline versions get black exterior accents, black 19-inch wheels, an illuminated front light bar and matrix LED headlights.

Why it matters

A sub-€26,000 Volkswagen Group EV in Germany sits well below the Model Y and Model 3. It shows how the price floor for European EVs is falling, even as Volkswagen pauses the electric ID. Golf.
