Xiaomi appears to be preparing a faster SU7 Ultra. CarNewsChina, citing Y-Auto, reports that an undisguised prototype with Munich plates is testing at the Nürburgring. Carscoops' spy photographers caught two similar prototypes there in mid-October.

What's visible

  • A twin-plane rear wing on swan-neck mounts in place of the production car's fixed carbon spoiler. Both outlets say it may include an active DRS slat, which Xiaomi has not confirmed.
  • A larger front splitter, extra bumper aero, revised side skirts and louvred vents above the front wheels. Carscoops also reports a new diffuser.
  • The roof-mounted lidar and yellow brake calipers are still there.

The target

The production SU7 Ultra with the Track Package lapped the Nordschleife in 7:04.957 on April 1, 2025. On April 15, 2026, a Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach Package and Manthey Kit ran 6:55.533, CarNewsChina reports. Xiaomi has not announced a new record attempt, and neither outlet confirms any powertrain changes. CNC notes Xiaomi has shown a separate quad-motor setup rated at up to 1,510 kW, but nothing ties it to this car.

Why it matters

The Munich plates fit Xiaomi's reported 2027 plans to enter Europe, starting with Germany. That would put Chinese performance EVs up against Tesla and Porsche in Europe. Xiaomi has not confirmed a European launch.
