Tesla Semi Wins the Tech Award in Top Gear's US Car Awards 2027

The Tesla Semi has won the TG Tech Award in Top Gear's US Car Awards 2027, published on Oct. 28. Top Gear called it "the version of Tesla we want to see".

The Tesla Semi has won the TG Tech Award in Top Gear's US Car Awards 2027, which the magazine published on Oct. 28, 2026.

"One thing is for sure: this is the version of Tesla we want to see," Top Gear wrote, adding that "the Semi is a potent reminder" of what the company can do.

About the truck

The refreshed Semi offers up to 500 miles of range.
It charges at up to 1.2 MW.
Tesla's Semi plant in Nevada covers about 1.8 million square feet and is built for 50,000 trucks a year.
A European version is planned for 2027.

Tesla did not win everything. Top Gear's Supercar of the Year went to the Corvette ZR1X. Tesla's new Roadster is expected to enter production in 2028.
