The Model 3 topped Spain's EV chart in October, but Tesla lost the brand race to BYD. A count of DGT registration files by Somos Eléctricos, reported by Teslant, has the Model 3 at 1,206 and Tesla at 1,558 in total, against BYD's 2,260.

The Model Y dropped to 12th with 335, behind the Škoda Elroq. It had been second in September with 1,204. The Model 3 alone made up about 77% of Tesla's Spanish total.

Tesla still roughly quadrupled October 2025, when it registered just 393 cars in Spain. Official ANFAC figures cited by unelectrico.es show 16,425 battery-electric cars registered in the month, up 81.2% and 16.7% of the market, the second-best month on record after September.

unelectrico.es says the Model 3 has passed 9,600 Spanish registrations this year,.
