Melbourne Airport has a big new charging stop. bp pulse has opened a charging hub on Airport Drive near the airport's long-term Value Car Park, with 24 bays served by chargers delivering up to 150 kW and 300 kW, Chargefox reports.
The site is open 24/7 and includes truck-friendly drive-through bays, restrooms and free Wi-Fi. electrive says it runs entirely on renewable electricity from Melbourne Airport's two on-site solar farms, and that bp pulse chargers are accessible through the Chargefox app.
bp bills it as Australia's largest EV charging hub, but electrive notes the title may be short-lived: Tesla has submitted plans for a 37-bay Supercharger site in Albury, according to Zecar.
