Former Formula 1 world champion Nico Rosberg says FSD (Supervised) in a Cybertruck has been "LIFE-CHANGING." Rosberg, who won the 2016 title with Mercedes, wrote on LinkedIn that he had been test-driving the Cybertruck with FSD around San Francisco this week.

What he wrote

Rosberg said back-to-back meetings with founders for his firm, Rosberg Ventures, left him short on time. The drives gave some of it back, he wrote, and he arrived at each meeting focused instead of drained. "My whole racing career, I was the one in control behind the wheel. But I'm now fully willing to hand over control," he wrote. He added: "We're still at the very, very beginning of all of this."

Tesla shared the comments on X on Friday, Oct. 30, with the caption "Even the world's best drivers like being driven."

The take-rate claim

TeslaNorth reports that Rosberg also wrote that 75% of new Teslas delivered in North America last quarter came with FSD, up from 55% three months earlier. That figure is Rosberg's.

FSD (Supervised) still needs an attentive driver at all times. Rosberg retired from F1 five days after winning his title. He later founded the Rosberg X Racing team in Extreme E, which won the 2021 and 2023 championships.
