Nine stops are Tesla stores and three are shows. Teslant points out that France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, the Nordic countries and the UK are not on the list. The car was already on show at the Paris Motor Show in October, which TeslaNorth calls its European debut.
Look, don't ride
Tesla's events page invites visitors to see the car up close and take photos. TeslaNorth and Teslant both note that Tesla mentions no rides, sales or date for a robotaxi service in Europe. Teslant adds that the car has no road approval in Europe. Of the tour countries, only Belgium, Czechia and Slovakia have recognised the Dutch approval of Tesla's supervised driving system.
The Cybercab, a two-seater with no steering wheel or pedals, has carried paying riders in Austin since Sept. 3. Teslant says the Texas register listed 573 Cybercabs on Nov. 2. Tesla has run similar display tours in Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
